Castello Poggiarello

Nestled in the hills south-west of Siena, Castello Poggiarello is one of Tuscany's most storied estates — a fortified tower first recorded in 1250, later home to the powerful Chigi Saracini family, and now a certified organic winery registered among Italy's historic homes (ADSI-FAI). The vineyards grow at 250–300 metres on iron-rich limestone soils, trained by Guyot, and farmed without synthetic inputs. All wines ferment spontaneously in temperature-controlled steel, age in French oak without filtration, and are built to last.
